Op donderdagmiddag 25 juni zal Col. Farmen een lezing verzorgen rondom het thema ‘Warrior logistics in motion’. Col Farmen was in 2005-2007 Commander Logistics Task Force 28/Operation Iraqi Freedom. Scope:
To discuss 598th Transportation Group's (US Transportation Command's - Surface Deployment and Distribution Command's (SDDC)) abilities to conduct Warrior Logistics in Motion! Intent is to provide a comprehensive overview of who we are and what we do to move and deliver combat power and DoD cargo to assure strategic depth and advantage across the full range of military operations. While also addressing the current challenges, trends, tailored best practices, and shifting logistics paradigms effecting the new normal in military supply chain/distribution-based operations. The 598th/SDDC is based in Rotterdam, NL with a diverse multi-national workforce of over 260 military and civilians aligned to support US European Command/US Africa Command and select global operations. The organization procures more than $200 million annually in commercial truck, rail, barge, pipeline and ocean transportation services and influences nearly $44 million in contracts with an operating budget of $44 million.
